Privacy Policy

In terms of handling of customer information including personal information, Mountain Tribe Co.,Ltd. (hereinafter called the "Company") shall specify Privacy Policy (hereinafter called "Privacy Policy") as follows:

1. Customer information to be collected and the collection method
In Privacy Policy, “personal information” shall mean the information related to an individual and the information that could identify a certain individual such as name, date of birth, and other descriptions included in the relevant information (including such that can be easily verified with other information and by which a certain individual can be identifiable).
The Company operates a commercial website “AsiaJapanCrafts.com” (hereinafter called the “Website”). “Customer information” shall mean the information which are collected by the Company under Privacy Policy such as information identifying an individual or an entity who uses and orders with the Website (hereinafter collectively called "Customer"), Customer’s history of behavior in the use of communication services and other information related to Customer’s devices such as smartphone and PC generated or accumulated on such devices.
The customer information which the Company will collect for the business operation is specified as follows by the collection method:
(1) The information provided by Customers, address, name, telephone number, email address, date of birth, credit card information, bank account information and other information which Customers filled in the form specified by the Company.
(2) The information provided by other services if Customer gives permission for the interaction with such services in the use of the service provided by the Company.
If Customer gives permission for the interaction with an external service such as social network service in the use of the service provided by the Company, the following data will be collected through such external service according to what such Customer agreed to.
・ Customer ID for such external service
・ Information which such Customer agreed to disclose to the linked service when he/she made a privacy setting on such external service
(3) Information collected by the Company in the use of the service provided by the Company.
The Company may collect information related to the access to and the use of the service provided by the Company.
Such information may include the following items:
・ Device Information
・ Log Information
・ Cookie and Anonymous ID

2. Purpose of Utilization

The Company may use the customer information for the purposes specified in 2-2 in order to provide the service as well as for other purposes specified in 2-3.
In order to prevent unintended use, the Company shall specify the Company rules for the handling of customer information, and shall educate all the board members, employees and contracted employees (hereinafter called the “Employees”) and shall operate the business according to the rules.

The detailed purposes of use of the customer information in terms of providing the service are as follows:
(1) To provide, maintain and protect the service provided by the Company including the reception of registration on the service
(2) To provide information related to the Company product delivery, catalogue and direct mail distribution, customer service, new product and new service
(3) To provide a notice about the service provided by the Company and to handle inquiries
(4) To handle any actions infringing the terms and policies related to the service provided by the Company (hereinafter called the “Terms”)

To inform of any changes on the Terms of service
(6) To carry out the purposes related to the actions set forth in the preceding items.

Other purposes in addition to the items set forth in 2-2 are as follows:
(1) To create statistical information in a form unidentifiable of a certain individual in terms of the service provided by the Company.

3. Request for Suspension of Use
Customer may request for suspensions of use of the customer information in whole or in part by the method specified on the service provided by the Company or by contacting the Company. In the event that the Company receives such request, the Company shall suspend the use of the customer information immediately according to the provisions set forth by the Company.

4. Provision to Third Parties
The Company shall not provide the personal information in customer information to third parties without prior consent from the Customer except for a case where the disclosure is authorized by the Personal Information Protection Law and other laws and regulations.
However, by way of exception, the Company may disclose the information in the following cases:
(1) When all or a part of the personal information is entrusted to a third party within a range required for attaining the Company’s purpose of utilization.
(2) If the Company commissions the handling of personal information as described in (1), the Company shall choose a trustee satisfying the standards related to protection of personal information, shall make consigning contracts in terms of protection of personal information and shall strictly monitor and supervise the handling of the personal information by the trustee.
(3) Cases where the personal information is transferred as a result of the succession of business in a merger or otherwise.
(4) Cases where the provision of personal information is necessary for cooperating with a state organization, a local government, or an individual or an entity entrusted by either of the former two in executing the affairs prescribed by laws and regulations and in which obtaining Customer’s consent is likely to impede the execution of the affairs concerned
(5) Cases where the provision of personal information is based on the Personal Information Protection Law and other laws and regulations

5. Disclosure of Personal Information
When the Company is requested by Customer to disclose the personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Law, the Company shall disclose such personal data without delay after confirming the identity of such Customer.
(If no such personal information exists, the Company shall notify of the fact.) Provided, however, that, this shall not apply in the case where the Company is not otherwise responsible for the disclosure under the Personal Information Protection Law and other laws and regulations.

6. Modification / Suspension of Use of Personal Information

(1) When the Company is requested by Customer under the Personal Information Protection Law and other laws and regulations to modify the personal information on the ground that such personal information is contrary to the facts; or
(2) to suspend the use of such personal information under the Personal Information Protection Law on the ground that such personal information is being handled beyond the announced purpose of utilization or is acquired in an unfair and unlawful manner, the Company shall make a necessary investigation without delay after confirming the identity of such Customer and on the basis of the results, modify or suspend the use of such personal information concerned and notify the Customer of that effect.
In the case that the Company made a decision not to modify or not to suspend the use of such personal information on rational grounds, the Company shall notify the Customer of the fact.

When the Company is requested by Customer to delete the personal information, the Company shall, except in cases in which the Company judges it is unnecessary, delete such personal information after confirming the identity of such Customer and notify the Customer of that effect.

In the case that the Company is not responsible for the modification or the suspension of the use of personal information under the Personal Information Protection Law and other laws and regulations, the provisions in the preceding two items shall not apply.

8. Privacy Policy Modifications
The Company shall review the operation related to the handling of customer information from time to time, shall strive to improve it on a constant basis and may modify the Privacy Policy as needed.
Such modification shall be announced on the Website to Customers.
However, upon conducting contents modification which requires agreement of Customers, the Company shall obtain the Customers’ agreement according to the procedure specified by the Company.
